Clash of the Titans

‘Clash of the Titans’ is more in the Greek mythology genre. There are the men who are powerful enough to wage war against the Gods. There are also the Gods who are egotistic and flare up at the slightest provocation. There are also the Underworld agents and their God who want to bring the world down on its knees. It’s one of those flicks which you enjoy when you want to soak in the grandeur and the hedonistic pleasure of indulging in a visual treat. The plots of such movies are generally wafer-thin and you don’t really expect path-breaking cinema here. It’s just to keep you distracted from your own minor problems and populate your brain with bigger issues like saving the world.

Clash of the Titans is about Perseus, played by Sam Worthington. He’s at the mercy of the vengeful God of the Underworld, Hades, played by Ralph Fiennes. Hades descends his blood-thirsty sword on the family of Perseus. Perseus can do nothing to save them. Revenge takes control of his mind and body, goading him to act against the injustice that his family had to bear. He decides to lay siege to the smug world of Hades. He gathers and trains a band of valiant men who will move mountains with him and seize power from Zeus, played by Liam Neeson.

The journey, as obvious, is a demanding one. There are all these obstacles on the way. There are demons to be slayed and monsters to be tamed. He has to defeat Hades from getting to Zeus and taking over the power to enslave the world. If that happens, as the average cine-goer knows, the world will come to an end. All depends of Perseus. He must realize his power as a God and also carve out his own identity by defying the fate that is destined for him. Catch this action-packed adventure saga on DISH TV. The superior sound and visual effects will make it a treat for the senses.
