Simon Cowell Wants Winston Churchill As Replacement!

Simon Cowell, the outgoing judge and the face of American Idol, suggested Winston Churchill as his replacement next season! In a sound byte released to the media, another judge on the American Idol platform, Randy Jackson revealed that whenever Simon is asked to suggest some names to replace him next season, Simon sends him a list of people who are dead! Randy sounded rather exasperated that instead of suggesting some serious contenders, Simon is making a mockery of the whole procedure!

Randy told OK! magazine: “Simon sent me some names the other day. These people aren’t alive. He’s talking about Winston Churchill. Crazy!” Although Simon is not making any serious suggestions, the channel executives are not in the mood for jokes, now that the current season is well about to end. They are committed to find a suitable replacement. Reports suggest that they are in talks with Jamie Foxx as one of the judges next season.

But the show executives are painfully aware of something: it’s not going to be easy to replace Simon Cowell. He’s been the face and voice of the show, more often than not, attracting the limelight firmly on himself. Contestants have made a name for themselves and then vanished without a fuss before the next edition was up. But the appeal of Simon Cowell on the judges’ seat has not diminished. In fact, it would not be wrong to say that viewers love to watch American Idol more for Simon Cowell than for the talent they get to see!
