Taylor Momsen Doesn’t Want to be Lindsay Lohan

Taylor Momsen likes the admiration that comes with being super successful as a teenager, but the ‘Gossip Girl’ star doesn’t like being compared to anyone named Lindsay Lohan. 16-year old Taylor may look older because of her wholesome looks, but she’s definitely a prototype of what is known as the “angsty” teenager.

In an interview to ‘Seventeen’, Taylor Momsen says, "I get such a bad rap for being like Lindsay Lohan." She denies that she has any of the qualities which made Lindsay very popular: her party wreck image. Hear it from Taylor: "I hate naming names because she's really sweet, but I don't go out. I have no desire to be some party girl. I'm a loner. I always have been."

She likes being tagged as the “angsty” teen: "I'll be angsty until I'm 80 years old," she says. "I think it keeps things fresh. But I think that angst is such a derogatory word toward teenagers. It just means you're figuring sh!t out." Taylor is also the lead of the rock band ‘The Pretty Reckless’. She feels, "[People] think most 16-year-olds don't know what they want to do. But I actually really do, because I've been thinking about [music] since I was 2."
