Lady Gaga on Her Androgyny

Lady Gaga has always shocked more than entertained. She is known for her absurd get-ups, overtly sexual songs and all of that combined to make her a star at 23. A lot has been written about her bisexuality and she decided to clear things up for her fans when she appeared with Barbara Walters on the 20/20 show. The biggest misconception that surrounds her is that she has the male sexual organs also!

Lady Gaga talked openly about her androgynous nature but stressed that though there are many misconceptions out there; there is nothing artificial about her. When people accuse her of being artificial, it gets on her nerves. She says, "The truth is that every bit of me is devoted to love and art. I aspire to try to be a teacher to my fans... to liberate them of their fears." When she was quizzed about the lyrics being so explicitly bisexual, Lady Gaga admitted that she had relationships with women but loved men only! Go figure!

The peak point of the interview was reached when Barbara Walters asked her, “You've heard the rumors going around ... the rumor that you are both a man and a woman?” To this, Lady Gaga replied in the negative. She confessed that the rumors about her sexuality were most certainly disturbing but she added that she was also aware that this dubious nature of her personality went a long way in making her successful. So, she doesn’t make any efforts to limit that! Make what you can about that!
