Adam Lambert and Selena Gomez Call for Haiti
You have to give it to the celebrities for making an attempt to make Haiti a less miserable place to be in at this point in history. The damages done to the little nation is irreparable and you can only imagine the number of lives lost. However, the celebs of the glamour world are trying to make the suffering a little bearable for all those hapless victims out there. You have all these A-list Hollywood celebs opening their purse strings generously.
You have already read about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie donating $1m toward relief work. It was not long before Sandra Bullock and Madonna chipped in with their donations. George Clooney organized a telethon so that celebs involved with the raising of charity money can contribute toward relief work in a more organized and bigger scale. The telethon will be aired across major TV networks this Friday. Robert Pattinson, Taylor Swift and Zac Effron have already committed to the telethon.
The latest to join the relief work club is Selena Gomez. The 17-year wrote on her Facebook page: “I will be on the phones during George Clooney & Joel Gallen’s Hope for Haiti Now telethon this Friday from 5pm to 7pm PST. I am so honored to be an active participant in this amazing fund raising event. Be sure to tune in, you cannot miss it. It is on MTV, over 30 major TV networks, and CNN worldwide. Let’s all come together and help those in Haiti.” Adam Lambert has committed to help out Haiti through the Red Cross.
