Tiger Woods Needs Christ?
It seems Tiger Woods would have to serve time at the Church instead of some marriage counseling center, if he goes by the advice of Brit Hume, the veteran FOX News presenter. He strongly feels that all Tiger Woods needs now is a little help from Christ. We wonder if his advice is of any value, but this is something new and exciting that has come up. Hume feels the “redemption” offered by Christianity is what Woods needs. /p>
Hume says, "Whether he can recover as a person I think is a very open question. The extent to which he can recover seems to me depends on his faith. It's a tragic situation. He is said to be a Buddhist. I don't think that faith offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption offered by the Christian faith." His advice to Tiger Woods is: "Tiger, turn to the Christian faith and you can make a total recovery and be a great example to the world.'"
Buddhists have retaliated to the remarks made by Hume about their faith. Barbara O’Brien wrote on her blog: "I don't like to point out others' faults, but given the record, I would think Christians would show a little more humility about offering advice to the sexually wayward." Another blogger, Kyle Lovett wrote: "Could Hume get away with saying something like this about Jewish people, black people or the Muslim Faith?" What Hume managed to achieve is take the issue to a different route altogether! Tiger should thank him for that, if not for the advice.
