Tiger Woods Talks About Scandal

March 26, 2010 at 02:39 am by Felix..

Tiger Woods spoke to ESPN and Golf Channel, answering questions about the terrible last couple of months. He sounded apologetic and sincere, unlike the last time when he apologized to the fans and his family. Very similar to last time, the line that he kept hammering away was: "I've done some pretty bad things in my life." But you have to give it to the man for being absolutely honest about it this time around. It could be because he’ll be returning to golf soon and he really needs to have those endorsements back in place.

Tiger Woods said, "I was living a life of a lie, I really was. Stripping away denial and rationalization you start coming to the truth of who you really are and that can be ugly." He also fielded questions about his public apology. He said, "When you face it and you start conquering it and you start living up to it, the strength that I feel now, I've never felt that type of strength." He admitted that cheating on his wife and letting his mother down were the lowest points in his life. By having such a long list of mistresses, he really did let them down!

Tiger took the opportunity to apologize to them. He said, "I hurt them the most. Those are the two people in my life who I'm closest to – and to say the things that I've done truthfully to them was very painful." But he didn’t choose to answer questions about the events that led to the Thanksgiving when the scandal came to light. He maintained that it was between him and his wife Elin Woods. He was also asked about his rehab treatment. He said, "As far as my schedule going forward. I don't know what I'm going to do. What I know I have to do is become a better person, and that begins with more treatment. Just because I'm competing again doesn't mean I'm done."
