Sanctuary

 Sanctuary focuses on Dr. Helen Magnus. She's supposed to be 158 years old. She runs Sanctuary, an organization that deals with the non-human forms of intelligence. These forms are called Abnormals. Helen and her team help these intelligent forms and try to learn from them as well. This knowledge is used by the team at Sanctuary to counteract with evil forces as well.

The series is created by Damian Kindler. An 8-part series was launched on the internet in early 2007. The series is an extension of the success of this series. It started off with 13 episodes. Dr. Magnus is joined on the show by her daughter Ashley, and resident psychiatric, Dr. Will Zimmerman. From the look of it, it seems that Dr. Will can be a worthy protégé of Dr. Magnus. Pokemon

 Pokemon series is largely based on the Pokemon video games. It is the story of Ash Ketchum. He gets a Pokemon from his Professor Oaks. His friends join him in the quest to complete the different levels of the Pokemon games. His friends are Misty, Brock, Tracey, May, Max along with Dawn. They cover Orange, Kanto, Johto and Sinnoh Leagues, to mention a few. Ash likes to capture the Pokemon. Read more »

Degrassi: The Next Generation

 Created by Linda Schuyler and Yan Moore, 'Degrassi: The Next Generation' is a Canadian drama series focusing on teens. The series traces the life and times of students of the Degrassi Community School. The series is about their way of dealing with teenage problems like drug abuse, teen pregnancy, homosexuality and even school shootings. The series is produced by Epitome Pictures in association with CTV. Read more »

True Blood

 'True Blood' is a vampire series created by Alan Ball, who also created 'Six Feet Under'. The series is adapted from the pages of the novel written by Charlaine Harris. A Japanese scientist has invented a synthetic blood which allows vampires from crossing the border and being one with the human beings. They are no more the demons of the myths. Humans have not been affected by the vampires, but people residing in Louisiana are wary about the presence of vampires in the midst. Read more »

Eastwick

 Eastwick is about three women, all different from each other like chalk and cheese. First among them is Roxanne "Roxie" Torcolleti. She's a single mother who is constrained financially and is also an artist. The second is a stressed-out mother of five kids and frustrated wife, Kat Gardener. The third among them is Joanna Frankel. She's a subdued and inhibited reporter. They meet at the town park and find that they have much to learn from each other. And then their journeys begin. Doctor Who

 Doctor Who is about a time traveler who shuttles between times, past and present. He has his spaceship called the TARDIS. The spaceship looks like a 1950's blue police box. On his time travels, he faces enemies and challenges and the series is all about how he overcomes these to emerge the hero. The series has made it to the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest running sci-fi show in history. It is also the most successful science fiction show ever.

Innovative storylines, extraordinary special effects on a shoe-string budget and effective use of electronic music makes Doctor Who what it is today. Now the special effects have improved drastically, of course. Read more »

Glee

 Glee is based in a fictional school by the name of William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio. It is a comedy-drama series that focuses on the high school choir group in that school that goes by the name of "New Directions!" It is also known as the glee club. The first episode was broadcasted after the American Idol show on May 19, 2009. it was only in September that the channel FOX gave Glee a full season pick-up.

The creators of the show are Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuck and Ian Brennan. They had originally conceived Glee as a feature film.

Hannah Montana

 Hannah Montana is a teenage sensation. This TV series debuted on Disney Channel in March, 2009 making a star out of teenage girl Miley Cyrus. In the series she plays Miley Stewart, who leads a double life. She's a teenage school girl during the day and morphs into a pop icon Hannah Montana when it's night. She conceals her real identity from the masses, and no one knows the truth except her close friends and family.

American Juniors stars Jordan McCoy and JoJo was considered for the role of Zoe Stewart. But they turned it down before it was lapped up by Miley Cyrus, Miley had initially auditioned for the role of the central character's best friend, Lilly Romero, which was later changed to Lilly Truscott. One Tree Hill

 This series is set in the fictitious town of Tree Hill. The teenage drama is led by two brothers, Lucas and Nathan. The drama hinges on the fact that they are half brothers. Their father, a former college ball player Dan Scott, abandoned his wife Karen and his son Lucas to look for happiness with Deb. Nathan is the son of Deb and Dan. Lucas is a talented basketball player, but his talent is recognized only by his pals in the back alley. Nathan, on the other end, is the star of his high school team. Read more »
