The Vampire Diaries is very similar to plot to the Twilight saga. Elena Gilbert is a 17-year old charming teenager who lives with her aunt and 15-year old brother, Jeremy. Their parents were killed in a car crash which completely devastates Elena. She finds herself getting drawn away from society and friends, who had occupied a major chunk of her life.
