One Tree Hill
This series is set in the fictitious town of Tree Hill. The teenage drama is led by two brothers, Lucas and Nathan. The drama hinges on the fact that they are half brothers. Their father, a former college ball player Dan Scott, abandoned his wife Karen and his son Lucas to look for happiness with Deb. Nathan is the son of Deb and Dan. Lucas is a talented basketball player, but his talent is recognized only by his pals in the back alley. Nathan, on the other end, is the star of his high school team.
Their paths cross when the basketball coach of Tree Hill decides to get Lucas on the team. Dan had managed to keep his sons as far from each other as possible. This stroke of fate brought the two half-brothers together, much to his dislike. The situation gets out of control as the rivalry between the two get out of hand. Not only do they compete on the field, they are also courting the same girl, Peyton Sawyer. One Tree Hill follows the life, trials and tribulations of the brothers and the lives that revolve around them.
The series has been created by Mark Schwahn. It premiered on The WB Television Network. After the third season, it shifted base to The CW Television Network. The character of Lucas is played by Chad Michael Murray and that of Nathan by James Lafferty. How their relationship emerges from cruel enemies to caring brothers is the story of One Tree Hill.
